The existing Myanmar
Copyright Act (1914) does not prescribe
copyright of other country to be recorded in
Myanmar. Now is the time when Myanmar
Government is drafting the bills on IP laws
to comply with the TRIPS/ ASEAN and WTO’s
agreements on protection of intellectual
property. In this interim period,
international practice is not available and
copyright obtained in other countries cannot
be enforced in Myanmar.
